2017 Flavor the Moments Reader Survey

Welcome to the 2017 Flavor the Moments Reader Survey!  Which I’m ashamed to admit is the first ever reader survey.  I’ve wanted to conduct a survey for a long time and never got around to it, but it was one of my biggest priorities for the beginning of this year because this blog would be nothing without you.

Alert! —> I’m going to get a little sappy for a minute.  If you want to skip over this part, head on down to the bottom of this post and click the link and take the survey…pretty please.

I started this blog over 4 years ago thinking I had a clue about what I was getting into and I really had no idea what it would become….or how it would change me.  I started out posting about 4 recipes a week with my iPhone camera and waited until someone would find me.  The laughable part was I wasn’t even on social media yet, and boy did it take me forever to get this thing off the ground.

Growth has been slow because of how I started out, as well as that fact that I didn’t have a clear vision about what this blog was about.

When I went to cooking school in 2013 I really got confused.  I wanted to share everything I was learning and some of my recipes got too complex.  It took me a while to figure out what my focus was after I graduated in the spring of 2014 which stalled my growth, but I’m happy to report that I’m firmly settled in and focused now.

Produce has and always will be my true passion, so I’ll be incorporating as much produce into every meal as possible.  I’m into using what’s in season, using what’s in my garden, what I find at the farmer’s market, or anything with the “Local” sign at the supermarket.  That’s what’s freshest, which means that’s what will have the most flavor.

I try to steer clear of processed food as much as possible, so most of what you find here will be made from scratch with wholesome ingredients.

While most of my recipes are healthy, I love baking. When I bake for the holidays or birthdays, it’s the real deal — butter…sugar…cream.  Sometimes there’s just no substitute!  Life is all about balance after all.

And last but not least, the recipes here will be approachable.  We’re all busy and need recipes that are easy to follow, that we can prep ahead, and even freeze.  I also want to continue to provide you with weekly meal plans, because it will seriously change your life when you have a game plan for dinner!

Are you still awake?

So that’s where I’m at, and I hope that you can tell me where you’re at in this survey, because I want you to stick around.  What my readers want is so important to me, so please give me your honest answers — I promise I can take it!   And I promise to give your answers the utmost thought and consideration so that 2017 will be an even better year here at FTM.

Please click the link below and take this brief survey, which will run until Sunday, January 15th.

Thank you!
