I’m not a morning person. so the best kind of breakfast for me is one that’s mostly prepped ahead. I love having a batch of banana waffles in the freezer or crustless broccoli quiche in the refrigerator, but sometimes I need a quicker option.
That’s where overnight oats come in. They can be prepped the night before at a moment’s notice, so they’re my go-to. They literally come together in 5 minutes flat!
My pumpkin overnight oats are a favorite in the fall months, and my peanut butter overnight oats are great all year round.

- Blueberries. Fresh or frozen blueberries may be used, or sub with your favorite fruit.

What if I want to use frozen blueberries – when do I add them.
Simply thaw them and them at serving. You can add them earlier, but your oats will be blue-purple. 🙂
Had an early morning appointment, so took a few minutes the night before to prep. They were great. Reduced the maple syrup to 2 T, and they were still plenty sweet. Added a dash of cinnamon too.
I’m glad these worked out for you Alissa and thanks for your review! 🙂
Very tasty but the idea that a dry item (chia) makes something creamy doesn’t fly. Thick yes.
You’re entitled to your opinion.
So happy I stumbled upon this, it’s amazing! I go slightly heavier on the chia seeds but recipe is perfect as is.
Thanks for your feedback Kristie and I’m glad you love the oats! 🙂
