It’s officially the last day of summer, and I’m definitely not sad about it.  That might be because it’s been so hot here that I’m literally melting.  Not to sound like a cranky old lady, but I can’t take the heat like I used to and I’m over it!

We got a teaser of cooler fall temps last week and I want them back stat, because it’s much more enjoyable eating soups, chili, and adding warm Homemade Chai Spice Mix to anything and everything.

I like feeling warm and cozy on the inside…not sweltering heat on the outside. 🙂

I’m going to stuff my crabby attitude now because there’s no place for it when discussing this chai spice mix.  I mulled over whether it deserved its own post for about 5 minutes and obviously went with a resounding YES.

Chai Spice Mix

I plan to use this chai spice mix in so many different ways, including oatmeal, pancakes, quick breads, crisps, and even topping lattes or cappuccinos.  The sky is the limit on the different ways that you can use it, which is why it deserves its own post.

I know a lot of you are like me and can’t get enough chai spice flavors, so this chai spice mix is bound to be a staple for you too!

This is the same chai spice blend that I used in my Chai Spice Chia Overnight Oats, which happens to be one of my most popular recipes.  Overnight oats are a sensation on their own, but add chai spice to the mix and people go crazy.

We like our chai, and we need an easy way to add these flavors into everything.

If you follow me on Instagram, I posted a couple of stories last week when I developed a recipe using this Homemade Chai Spice Mix.  If you saw those stories then you probably know what I added this spice mix to….and the rest of you will know very soon.  Let’s just say you won’t be disappointed. 🙂

The glory of making your own spice blends is the fact that you can customize them exactly the way you want to, and this is my interpretation.

I know some chai blends include allspice and even black pepper, and if you like these spices in your chai you can easily add them to the mix too.

The bottom line is that this Homemade Chai Spice Mix is something you need in your life.  These flavors make you feel all warm and cozy inside, so it’s perfect for fall and winter.

I’m going to be dreaming of cooler fall temperatures because warm and cozy is what fall is all about. 🙂
