Honey Thyme Whipped Goat Cheese and Fig Bites
Honey Thyme Whipped Goat Cheese and Fig Bites are an easy yet elegant 5-ingredient appetizer that are perfect for entertaining!
I love entertaining, but I have to admit that I get so caught up with the main dish and dessert that the appetizers are more of an after thought.
Normally I make the same dips all the time like my homemade guacamole and white bean hummus because I can make them in my sleep.
While I could eat both of those dips every day (and often do), it’s so nice to liven things up with a new crowd-pleasing appetizer.
These Honey Thyme Whipped Goat Cheese and Fig Bites are definitely exciting, and be warned that they may just overshadow the entire menu!
I for one love appetizers, especially ones that incorporate cheese and fruit…sweet ‘n savory is where it’s at for me. If there’s a cheese plate around, I don’t stray too far from it and I may not be hungry for dinner.
These bites are so elegant and almost effortless. You’re 5 ingredients away from an appetizer that’s going to wow the crowd!
The combination of the tangy goat cheese, savory thyme, and sweet honey is magical. The dip is amazingly creamy too, and takes all of 2 minutes to make!
Let’s keep that our little secret. 🙂
While you can top these bites with almost any type of fresh fruit, I chose figs because they’re a favorite of mine and the season is far too short.
I incorporate figs into as many dishes as I can when they’re in season! You can also make my Fig Honey Jam to take these bites to an entirely new level.
I can honestly say that I’ll be serving these Honey Thyme Whipped Goat Cheese and Fig Bites all the time because they’re just the effortless make-it-in-my-sleep type of appetizer that I need up my sleeve.
Be prepared to wow your guests…and yourself.

The ingredients state: 2 tablespoons whipped cream cheese. Where is this in the method? And why put cream cheese in this recipe at all?
I’ve modified the recipe steps to include the cream cheese and I apologize for the oversight. Goat cheese has a strong flavor, so the cream cheese helps mellow it a bit.
Wow! This is such a gorgeous looking appetizer. Figs, honey, whipped goat cheese sound like a great pairing. I bet they taste as delish as the look.
Thanks so much Anu, and they do taste amazing! 🙂
This is a stunning appetizer, Marcie! So beautiful to look at and I’m sure the flavor is outstanding too. I’m going to have to look for those crackers, they sound amazing!
Thank you so much Sarah! Figs are just the prettiest things, and you’ll love the crackers!
I am a huge fan of appetizers too – especially with cheese and fruit! Goat cheese is a favourite. I feel like I could make an entire meal out of these! I love Breton crackers, they’re a big hit around here with the kids too!! Pinned!!
I ate these for lunch after photographing them and it was the best lunch I’ve had! haha Thanks Katherine!
Lol, we have the opposite problem, Marcie! I love appetizers so much I tend to over do it and then no one is ever hungry for the main dish… which is fine because I normally put more effort and thought into the appetizers. I’m a weird one! 😉 Anyways, obviously I am LOVING these bites! I have a box of t Breton crackers in my pantry! They are so delish! I’m loving the whipped goat cheese with fig combo! I could eat a tray of just these for dinner! Pinned! Cheers!!
That’s so funny, but I do understand. I think appetizers are some of the most interesting bites of the meal and it’s where you can get truly creative if you’ve got the time! Thanks so much Cheyanne! 🙂
I’m one of those people who can happily make a meal out of appetizers, and these sound completely PERFECT for that :). Figs are easily one of my favorite things, like candy but healthy! Add some cheese and a crunchy cracker and I’m in!
Thanks Kelsie and you can bet I made a meal out of this right after I took the photos! 🙂
I remember seeing this on Instagram and couldn’t wait to find the recipe! This sounds delicious, Marcie! I love goat cheese, but you made it even better with honey and thyme. It looks like these crackers are the perfect complement to the cheese. What a fun appetizer!
Thanks so much Gayle! This is truly one of the tastiest appetizers I’ve made!
