Easy Homemade Italian Dressing

Upgrade your next salad with fresh, zesty Homemade Italian Dressing!  This flavorful salad dressing includes just a few ingredients and just 5 minutes to make!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions 

  • Place all ingredients in a mason jar and seal tightly with a lid. Shake vigorously until emulsified.
  • Toss with your salad or pasta salad and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast for extra umami flavor!
  • Dressing will keep in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks. 
  • The dressing will solidify when chilled. Once chilled, set the dressing out at room temperature for 10-15 minutes and whisk or shake vigorously before using.
  • Fresh herbs may be used in place of the dried herbs if you have them on hand.
