Easy Homemade Applesauce

This easy homemade applesauce is fresh, tart, and sweet with the warmth of cinnamon. Serve warm with pork chops or eat chilled for a snack.

  • 4 cups Pink Lady apples peeled and cored
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice about half a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt


  • Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, and reduce heat slightly. Cover and cook 30 minutes, or until the apples are very soft.
  • Mash with a potato masher or the back of a spoon until the apple sauce is the consistency you desire. Serve and enjoy!


  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
