Easy Homemade Jerk Seasoning

Experience the flavors of the Caribbean with this Jamaican Jerk Seasoning!  It's a combination of warm spices, a touch of sweetness and just the right level of heat, and it's so easy to make at home with spices you already have in your pantry!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons allspice
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions 

  • Place all ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Whisk the spices until well combined and there are no lumps. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Customize Jamaican jerk seasoning to be as mild or spicy as you like!
  • Store in an air tight container in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
