Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef I used 85% lean grass fed beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper or to taste

Instructions

  • Divide the ground beef into (4) equal pieces and form into patties about 3" across and 1/2" thick. Press your thumb into the center (this will help the patties hold their shape), then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Place the burgers in the air fryer basket in an even layer. Cook at 360 degrees for 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 3-4 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into the center registers 140-150 degrees for medium well doneness.
  • Remove the burgers from the air fryer basket and serve with your favorite condiments, lettuce wraps or buns. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Pro tip:  All air fryers vary, so be sure to check for doneness after 4-5 minutes to make sure that your burgers don't overcook.
  • For medium rare burgers, aim for an internal temperature of 130-140 degrees.
  • Grass fed beef has great flavor, so I season these air fryer hamburgers simply with salt and pepper.  Feel free to change things up with your favorite seasonings!
  • Serve with your favorite condiments, buns, or lettuce wraps for a delicious low carb option.
  • Frozen hamburgers may be used as well -- just increase the cooking time around 5 minutes or so and cook until a thermometer inserted into the middle registers 160 degrees.
