Homemade Taco Seasoning

Homemade Taco Seasoning is an easy, homemade taco seasoning that's perfect with ground beef, chicken, turkey or veggies!

  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (use less or more according to the level of spice that you desire
  • 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt or to taste


  • Place all spices in a small bowl and mix well to combine.
  • Place the taco seasoning in a small air tight container and store in a cool, dry area for up to 3 months.


  • I normally use 2 tablespoons of the spice blend for every 1 - 1 1/2 lbs. of meat or veggies.
