Salted Dark Chocolate Toffee Fudge
Salted Dark Chocolate Toffee Fudge is velvety smooth dark chocolate fudge with crunchy toffee bits and flaky sea salt. It’s comes together in minutes with only 5 ingredients!
I have to confess something to you….I’ve never been a fudge person. Why? Because most of the time it’s too darn sweet.
Let’s face it, fudge is mostly loaded down with sugar from the sweetened condensed milk or whatever else has been added to sweeten it up. I decided to try to make a fudge that would appeal to me. One that would be deep, dark, and extra chocolatey, not as sweet, but still velvety.
I’m here to tell you that this fudge right here is my dream fudge. It’s perfect for me in every.single.way. 🙂
This fudge is so chocolatey without being overpoweringly sweet because I only used the daddy of all chocolate — dark chocolate.
Dark chocolate has no sugar added, which made it a no-brainer for me. The beautiful dark chocolate chips are melted into warm sweetened condensed milk, a pat of butter and a teaspoon of flaky sea salt.
The sea salt tones down the sweetness and amplifies the chocolate flavor as well. 🙂
Heath bars have always been one of my favorite candies, so this fudge is inspired by those flavors. It’s that sweet and salty combination that gets me every time!
This fudge is so addicting with that salted dark chocolate and crunchy toffee bits. So addicting that I had 3 little squares before I photographed them just to be sure I liked them.
I think the fact that I had 3 was my answer…or was it that I wanted more than that and had to put it away? Never mind that — all you need to know is that you too can have this addicting salted dark chocolate fudge that comes together in minutes with only 5 ingredients.
How can you say no to that? 🙂

Salted Dark Chocolate Toffee Fudge
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 11.5 ounces dark chocolate chips I used Guittard extra dark
- 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt plus more for garnish (I used Maldon)
- 1/2 cup toffee bits plus more for garnish
Instructions
- Line an 8×8″ baking dish with waxed paper and spray lightly with cooking spray. Set aside.
- Place the butter and sweetened condensed milk in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium low heat until combined, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and add the chocolate and teaspoon of sea salt, stirring until smooth. Add the 1/2 cup toffee bits and stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Gently press in more toffee bits on top, and sprinkle a bit more flaky sea salt. Chill 2 hours or overnight until set.
- Once set, remove from the pan and place on a cutting board. Cut into small squares with a very sharp knife, and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftover fudge in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Thank you, Trish! 🙂
It doesn’t get much easier than this! 🙂
Love this! So great to make as a little gift for the holidays… and I love salted anything!
this is perfect for holidays! I love dark chocolate so I know I will love this! Yum!
I definitely plan to make more of this for the holidays as gifts, and just to eat of course! 🙂
And I’ve always loved brownies so much more than fudge! But now, things may have changed, because I can get deep, dark chocolate flavor now without making a pan of brownies! Life changing. 🙂 Thanks for the pin, Lindsey! 🙂
I have a huge sweet tooth so I’m all about fudge. But a less sweet fudge made with dark chocolate sounds like a welcome change. Love the little bits of toffee. Bet it would taste amazing with a cup of coffee.
This may not be sweet enough for you, Christin, however, it would be great with coffee! lol 🙂
What a goodness I want a piece.
Thank you, Vanessa!
I love fudge. This looks great Marcie.

Thank you, Ella! 🙂
I’m not much of a fudge-kinda girl either because like you said, it is REALLY sweet. I think I could definitely get on board with this stuff though! I love that it’s salted and all that toffee is screaming my name! Pinned. 🙂
This is more chocolatey than sweet, and everything is better with toffee! Hope you give it a try, Sarah! 🙂
I love the dark chocolate…and the toffee!! I agree, fudge is normally teeth hurting sweet, lol. This fudge looks perfectly delicious. 🙂
I like your description of “teeth hurting sweet” — you’re so right. This fudge isn’t like that at all — all that dark chocolate takes over making this more chocolatey than sweet. My kind of fudge! 🙂
I’m impressed that y0u only had 3 before photographing them. I don’t think I would have had that much restraint!
3 was good! haha Honestly, 2 is a great place to stop, and now I need to give the rest away! 🙂
One christmas I made 5 batches of fudge to send to my family and I had a ton leftover that I ate and ate and ate. Fudge really can be so sweet sometimes and I couldn’t eat fudge for a while after that! Salted dark chocolate and toffee are two of my favorite sweets and I love that you combined them into this awesome fudge!
Normally one piece of fudge does me in — it’s so sweet! This fudge is different — I can eat two little squares without it feeling like a sugar fest. haha Not too sweet, and oh so chocolatey. 🙂
Me too! Fudge is usually too sweet for me but I love this 🙂 Dark chocolate and toffee yummmm!
This was just right for me…just right!
Hi Marcie, I’m a dark chocolate fiend, these look and sound delicious!
Sounds like this is the fudge for you, Cheri! Hope you get to try it soon! 🙂
