Air Fryer Hamburgers on a cutting board

Burgers are almost always in the weekly dinner rotation here. I like to change things up with turkey and chicken burgers, but my family’s favorite is the all American hamburger.

My grilled burgers have been a family favorite for years, but sometimes it gets really hot outside and I can’t fathom firing up the grill.

A while back I had the idea to try making hamburgers in the air fryer, and obviously it was a success!

I had my doubts about the outcome of these Air Fryer Hamburgers, because I wasn’t sure that they would be juicy and have the crisp crust that I love.

I should’ve known better than to doubt my trusty air fryer, because it hasn’t ever let me down. There’s truly nothing that it can’t it do. 🙂

Air fryer burgers ingredients

Ingredient notes

  • Ground beef. For best results, use grass fed beef as it has more flavor and it’s a sustainable choice. I used 85% lean and the hamburgers were still completely juicy and delicious. Frozen burgers may be used as well — simply cook through to an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
  • Seasoning. Grass fed beef has amazing flavor, so I simply seasoned the hamburgers with sea salt and pepper. You can change things up by using your favorite herbs or seasonings.
  • Condiments. These burgers are crafted with brioche buns with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles and red onion, which is how I enjoy them a lot of the time. The ingredients listed are simply suggestions, and you can certainly use your favorite condiments, buns or opt for lettuce wraps to make them gluten-free or low carb.
