Most people that I talk to say that they don’t make pork chops often because they dry out easily. That’s totally true because they’re very lean, but these Air Fryer Pork Chops make preparing perfectly juicy pork chops easy.

In the past I’ve had no problem preparing fried or oven baked pork chops, but I can honestly say that I never want to make them any other way now.

My air fryer is one of the best purchases I’ve made, and I find myself using it more and more because it’s so easy to use and the results are always amazing.

It’s my go-to for cooking bacon and chicken wings and so much more. The sky is truly the limit!

Ingredient notes

  • Pork chops. I recommend using boneless pork chops that are a minimum of 1 1/2″ thick because they get nice and crisp in the air fryer as they take longer to cook. Make sure that they’re the same size and thickness so that they cook more evenly.
  • Oil. Use high heat oil such as avocado oil, grape seed oil or coconut oil.
  • Seasoning. I used my go-to spices for this recipe, but my blackened seasoning, jerk seasoning or your favorite store bought rubs would work great as well.

FAQs

How long do pork chops take in the air fryer?

Cooking time varies depending on the thickness of the pork chops and whether they’re boneless or bone-in. A boneless pork chop that is 1 1/2″ thick will take roughly 15-18 minutes to come to a temperature of 145 degrees. All air fryer temperatures vary, so be sure to check for doneness halfway through the cooking time to see where things are at.

How thick should my air fryer pork chops be?

For a juicy interior and crisp exterior, I recommend using a minimum of 1 1/2″ thick pork chops. They take longer to cook, which allows them to become much more golden brown and crispy.

Can I use bone-in pork chops for this recipe?

I’ve used both bone-in and boneless pork chops in this recipe and they both came out great. For bone-in, simply plan on 2-4 minutes longer cooking time.
