If I had to choose only 10 foods to eat for the rest of my life, the list would definitely include potatoes. They’re one of the most versatile foods on the planet and can be served a number of ways.

They’re wonderful baked, mashed, in potato salad, or added to beef stew or soups.

One of my biggest weaknesses is my smashed baby potatoes, but there are a few steps involved. These Air Fryer Potatoes are the easiest way I know to make perfectly crispy potatoes without even turning on the oven.

The air fryer never ceases to amaze me, and it’s become my new favorite way to prepare potatoes!

If you love them baked, my air fryer baked potatoes are an absolute must. They’re tender, fluffy and the skin is irresistibly crispy!

Ingredient notes

  • Potatoes. This recipe includes baby potatoes, and while any variety will work, my personal favorite is baby yukon gold potatoes because of they have creamy texture and the skin gets nice and crispy. Red potatoes, purple potatoes and fingerlings will all work, but they will vary in texture and flavor.
  • Oil. For best results, use a high heat oil in the air fryer such as avocado, grape seed or coconut oil.
  • Rosemary. The fresh rosemary may be substituted with dried, or your favorite fresh or dried herbs.
  • Garlic powder. The garlic powder may be swapped out with your favorite seasoning.
