Recipe FAQs

What does champagne vinegar taste like?

Champagne vinegar has a very delicate, slightly fruity flavor. It’s lightly acidic and tastes more refined than stronger vinegars, such as balsamic vinegar and apple cider vinegar.

Is there a good substitute for champagne vinegar?

The champagne vinegar is the star of this salad dressing, so I highly suggest using it if possible.

However, if you’ve run out you can try replacing it with an equal amount of white wine vinegar. White wine vinegar is slightly more acidic and doesn’t have as delicate a flavor, but it’s a good substitute nonetheless.

Another suitable substitute is white balsamic vinegar.

How long does homemade vinaigrette last?

If stored in an airtight container, your honey champagne vinaigrette will last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Serving suggestions

This champagne vinaigrette dressing can be used to dress a variety of salads and sides!

Pro tip: If a recipe calls for white wine vinaigrette or apple cider vinaigrette, you can almost always substitute it with champagne vinaigrette.
